The 2016 LT Awards Shortlist Reveals a Culture of Excellence in Today’s L&D Teams

by | Sep 12, 2016 | Articles | 0 comments

Check out the shortlist of nominees for this year’s Learning Technologies Awards – a celebration of everything excellent in L&D.

At Towards Maturity, we make a point of celebrating with L&D teams having success in their organisation. One of the ways we do that, is joining in with awards ceremonies and telling the stories of those who win.

For a number of years, we’ve had a Good Practice Partnership with elearning age, the magazine now owned by Learning Technologies – we’re pleased to say we’re continuing that commitment as the 2016 LT Awards Shortlist is published. As always, a number of the organisations using our Benchmark to improve their performance are featured in the list, along with our Ambassador companies, who enable us to publish our research and deliver Personalised Benchmark Reports for free.

We think this year’s shortlist perfectly reflects the sheer diversity and depth of the learning technology industry in both its entries and its entrants, and we look forward to writing the case studies!

This year we’re particularly pleased to see our Strategic Partner, the CIPD, put forward for Best Online Distance Learning Programme and the Adapt Open-Source Framework make the shortlist for Most Innovative new Learning Technologies Product, presented by Sponge UK and Kineo.

The full shortlist for 2016 can be found below with a big new intake of first-time applicants joining previous winners in their reach for an LT Award.

Judging the awards is always a challenge – with a panel of independent judges, the entries have to be whittled down to a shortlist where there can be only one gold, silver and bronze…this year the quality of entries was so good that several categories had to be split up, which says something about the excellence today’s L&D professionals are aiming for. The judging was headed again this year by the eLearning Network.

The winners will be decided during several days of online and face-to-face presentations, later in September. Each year after the awards, we feature a number of the award-winning stories as part of our Good Practice Partnership with Learning Technologies, so check them out.

The Gala Evening will be held on 30 November at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge.  Make sure you book a table before the house fills, or get invited!

Women in Work and Learning

Today is international Women’s Day; the annual occurrence that seeks to revel in how far women have come, and address how far they have left to go in the battle for gender equality. By celebrating what women have achieved, whilst highlighting the continuing inequalities they face, today plays a vital role in shedding light on women, their opinions and their experiences in life. We want to contribute to this insight and explore how you could make work place learning more effective by tapping in to the behaviours and ambitions of women in your company.
