The automotive industry has been hard hit by the recession with production levels down and falling sales. Yet the sector continues to innovate and competitive advantage goes to those who are able to quickly respond to market demand and provide excellent customer service.
Maintaining and build the skills of key customer-facing staff is critical in achieving this and the sector is looking beyond the classroom to new learning models to address these skills more efficiently and effectively.
This study builds on the Towards Maturity Benchmark but specifically looks to investigate how learning technologies are being leveraged in the sector and the impact that they are having on business performance and will result in an independant industry benchmark to support ongoing innovation in the automotive sector.
Who should take part?
This is aimed at all of those responsible for delivering skills and product training across the distribution chain within the European automotive sector.
Specifically we will be investigating:
- How technologies are currently being used to support sales, marketing and technical staff across the network
- Improving engagement
- Future plans and expectations

Whilst many companies have started to use learning technologies, not all have achieved the benefits that they have expected.
